Pacific Rim magazine reviews Aussie Pie Guy

Pacific Rim magazine recently dropped by the Aussie Pie Guy truck to say g'day and have a pie. Check out their Aussie Pie Guy review of our Trifecta Pie and Manadarin Salad. Pacific Rim also check out Tacofino and Le Tigre, two of our fave Vancouver food trucks.

Matt has a chat with Epicurious

Matt recently sat down with Joanne Camas from Epicurious to discuss the beginnings and future of Aussie Pie Guy. We think that the Epicurious article is great and we hope that you do too!

Last chance for unique Aussie Pie Guy swag, rewards and more

Time is rapidly running out to pick up limited edition Aussie Pie Guy swag and deals via our Kickstarter campaign. In case you've been living under a rock this past month and haven't heard, we are running a Kickstarter campaign to help overcome a series of unfortunate equipment failures we've had recently (inclduing our truck breaking down three times, our baking oven dying and our generator dying).

We've got a bunch of different donation levels and rewards including t-shirts, stickers, water bottles, frozen pies, catering deals (from Foodee and from the truck) and even the chance to design our next pie!

In other news we've been getting some great review of late, including these crackers:

Aussie Pie Guy makes friends with salad

Fellow food truckers and all round nice guys Culver City Salads announced they plan to make their little green truck even greener......... by removing their generator and going solar powered. How cool is that?!?! You too can make friends with salad - head on over the Culver City Salads Indigogo page to check out the full story and give them a helping hand. They've put together some sweet incentives to donate including pre-loaded salad cards, personal training from Tight Life and yoga classes from The Distrikt Movement. We hope to see them blow their funding goal out of the water and get their solar panel system up and running soon.

Feeding hungry startups at Cascadia Startup Day

We recently joined forces with our good friends at, Vancouver's number one delivery and catering service, to serve up hot pies at the Cascadia Startup Day in Gastown. Cascadia Startup Day saw over 300 entrepreneurs and investors get together to share ideas and expose some exciting new projects. And who better to serve a group of Vancouver startups than another couple of Vancouver startups? delivered piping hot pies straight from our East Vancouver kitchen directly to the hungry crowds at Cascadia and the night was considered a roaring success.

Fan Poetry by Mike Stuyt

Yes, one of our amazing customers wrote this for us! We wanted to share it with you!

    • Cool morning
And a cup of tea to start today
Sun rises to wake the birds
Squirrels follow the coolness as the morning awakens
      Flakey pastry
      Soft meat
And the flavours from my past , Fill my thoughts
Sitting here , on a day off I ponder what to do
      And a road trip
A white truck and a red stripe
      Two lovely ladies smiling
Trees protect them from the rising heat of the sun
      Sitting in the shade
      Men dressed well
And ladies looking gorgeous as ever
      Food on the street
      Light breeze
Coke and Bundaberg to keep the saliva at bay
But only a meat pie will satisfy my hunger
      One pie
Flavours ooze from light flakey pastry
The feeling of tender juicy meat on my tongue makes my cheeks water
with anticipation of what might come next
The sights and sounds calm my soul while this pie calms my memories
      of childhood long past
A second pie and I'm starting to enjoy this noisy chaotic place
Horns and sirens Echo between buildings
Bikes with loud tailpipes cruise by
A slow walk around the block
Perhaps I need a sweetie pie for the trip home
      Of course
Tummy now full , I lie here with my feet up and thanking all of you for
      your pies.
      Road trips and pies
